SolarWhiz runs whenever there is active sunlight reaching the solar panel, it does not include a battery to continue operation beyond daylight. The Night Kit can still work during more gloomy days or even throughout the night and enables your Solar Whiz to run on mains electricity once the solar charge has depleted.
