Exhaust fans are commonly used to regulate an internal environment by venting out unwanted odors, moisture, smoke and any other contaminates that may be present in the air. In terms of domestic use exhaust fans are typically installed in kitchens and bathrooms where it is necessary to forcibly vent the warm moist air outside.

Exhaust fans can also vent cooking odors outside so that they do not linger indoors, and when people cook smoky foods, the fan can help keep the air in and around the kitchen clear. Finally our commercial fans can be useful in garages, workshops and other commercial areas to ventilate the space. Please select from one of our exhaust fan categories below:

How do I calculate which exhaust fan I need?

Fan suitability is usually determined by your room size and application. Generally we recommend aiming to achieve 15 air changes per hour for a bathroom, maybe 10 for a toilet. This is easily calculated, simply work out the size of your room in m3 (length x width x height in meters). You can then multiply this figure by 15 to give you an approximate capacity rating required for the fan. For your convenience all fans are measured in m3/hr. Please note 15 is our general recommendation, rooms prone to condensation may require 20-30 air changes.
