A 10k potentiometer is used to control a 0-10V analog input for either an EC fan or a VSD used on an AC fan. An On/Off Switch is used to enable or disable the digital signal for the EC fan or VSD. The installation process is made easy and convenient with the HPM Excel wall plate, which includes a removable knob.

The 10k potentiometer is intended to be connected to an analog 0-10V control signal from an EC fan or VSD (Variable Speed Drive) that is used to control an AC fan.
The potentiometer’s resistance is 10k, and it follows a linear curve. For example, at 10% of its range, the resistance is 1k; at 50%, the resistance is 5k, and at 75%, the resistance is 7.5k, and so on.
It’s essential to note that the “0V” connection should be made to the 0V or GND terminal of the EC motor/VSD, not the Earth.
WARNING
The 10k pot and on/off switch are only for use with a 0-10V control signal and digital enable signals – do NOT connect it in any way with a 240V/415V power source of the fan or VSD.
