The fan looks very basic, because it is. It spins very easily and has very quiet bearings. It is silent in operation and moves aor of air. I have used it as an external booster on my range hood and it works really well.

I replaced my range hood fans with this fan on the outside of my house. This is such an improvement over a normal range hood. It is more powerful and quiter. The variable speed controller is a must have add on to allow for a quiet operation or to turn it up for maximum extraction
