The Typhoon 316 ceiling fan is unique in that most components of the fan are made of marine grade (316) stainless steel making it ideal for high corrosion environments such as coastal areas with exposure to salty air.

The double step pitch of the blades combined with its large motor enables the Typhoon 316 to circulate optimum volumes of airflow with each spin.

The Typhoon 316 can be used in both indoor (coastal and non- coastal areas) and outdoor (non-coastal areas). This ceiling fan is made from 316 grade stainless steel. This is also known as Marine grade stainless steel as it is often used in boat fittings or architectural panelling, railings and trim in coastal areas. The properties associated with this high grade stainless steel reduce the opportunity for pitting and corrosion on the finished products.

The Typhoon 316, 1220mm (48") and the 1320mm (52") ceiling fans have a 16 pole, 188mm x15mm motor, where as the 1420mm (56") has a 16 pole 188mm x 25mm motor. All Hunter Pacific fan motors use vacuum impregnated high-grade copper windings, silicon-steel stators and sealed bearings for long life and quiet operation. The wall controller in conjunction with the stator windings ensures optimum speeds for all conditions. With minimal motor movement and a cool operational temperature, this powerful motor is guaranteed lasting operation.
